4.5 stars. Interesting premise of a cursed prince and I like the tiger friendship. I really enjoyed this story and it was very different, set in India with fascinating culture, food and legends. I was surprised that an American girl was the chosen one of an Indian goddess, but I didn't take offense (like some other readers). Though it would've made more sense if she were an American-Indian girl who had lost touch with her Indian heritage.

This book was awesome. At first I was iffy about reading it. But after I finished it, it became on of my favorite books as well as the other books in the series.

I love the romance between Ren and Kelsey. Their love is an all passionate, all consuming love which is great to read about. Their fights and arguments are entertaining as well.

Later on in the book, we meet Ren's brother Kishan and I could already tell he was "trouble". From the first moment he kisses Kelsey's hand, you can see the lov

This book pleasantly surprised me. The latter half of the story was definitely better and the subsequent books are as well. At times I yelled at the book, became frustrated with characters, or was extremely happy when something good happened. If a book gets me to feel emotions such as these, it is a good book. I particularly enjoyed the bantering and struggles between Ren and Kelsey towards the end- the dialogue was good and it created conflict.
The reason I gave it four stars is because I have

*2.5 STARS*

I was expecting to love this one because I had a lot of GR friends who read it and gave it 4 or 5 stars. But, this was didn't hook me like I expected it to. Then when it started to get better the heroine's childish antics really just turned me off. I know this is YA and I should give the young character a break, but I am usually able to give the benefit of the doubt to YA characters because they are young. I just wasn't able to do that in this case.

I started off listening to this on a

I probably would have loved this book if I had read it when I bought it - which was 2013. I was really into teen paranormal romances at the time. I started this book recently and read about 80 pages. And then I put it down and haven't picked it back up. It's not that the story is horrible, I just don't care anymore. I feel like I've outgrown this genre and I just can't make myself get back into. I will pass it along to someone that I'm sure will enjoy it. ...more
