Another great read from Ms. Picoult.
I loved the way I could feel in-touch with each of the characters as the author manages to portray them as, well.... humans, as diverse as we are, trying to cope with life and its' expectations and limitations.
My favourite character has to be Jacob, quirky, loveable and witty. I appreciated the way the author managed to show us a spectrum of autism which most of us don't come into contact with, how it impounds on the family as a unit and not just the individua ...more

I have to give Picoult some credit here-she genuinely tried to write a book about a boy with Asperger's. Sadly, however, she failed. I read in an interview that Picoult interviewed many kids with Asperger's, and it appears that she just put all of the traits from those many kids into a pot, stirred them together, and out came Jacob. She didn't bother to weed out any characteristics of Asperger's, she used nearly every single one. The writing was inconsistent (which is usual for her novels), and
