2 stars - it was okay

I found that this book was hard to follow. Maybe it was me - just not concentrating on it? But there were a number of stories threading through this novel, only one of which was pulling my interest. I knew the story lines would converge and finally they did. And once they did, the book was pretty good. However in my opinion it just took too long to reach that point. Maybe at another time I would have enjoyed it, but right now I can only rate it 'okay'.

"Sometimes a stranger was the safest place in your life."

oooh this was a wonderful, twisted and dark story. The first 100 pages are a bit of an overwhelming blur. You are introduced to a pretty full cast but you are also popping around POV as everyone is introduced. Then it shifts and you are racing for answers.

It's hard to say who is the villain in this story. Sure, there are a few you could easily point to, but a few others are beautifully vague and gray, and I love that! And I love that our m
