Book 2 in The Central Park Pact series & I adored it! I think I liked this one even more than Passion on Park Avenue - this series is a hit for sure. I totally felt for Claire, and loved her chemistry with Scott. At 260 pages, this was a very quick read. This was an entertaining rom-com that I thoroughly enjoyed. I have to say, Lauren Layne’s Central Park Pact series is easily become one of my favorite steam free series! I love steam in romance, so I never thought I’d have a favorite without steam. But this series and these characters are so delightful! It’s impossible not to fall in love with the storylines. I really enjoyed Passion on Park Avenue a few months ago, but Love on Lexington Avenue was even better!

I loved this book!!!! If you’re a romance reader, you probably know that in the very best books, you also fall in love with the character - you get butterflies in your stomach, you squee out loud (hopefully in your home, maybe in public - no judgement here!) - this was one of those books for me.

She decides to revamp her stuffy brownstone and her newfound bff Naomi (from book one) suggests Scott Turner, a contractor who often works with her fiancé.

Claire is determined to get out there for a few casual flings and enlists Scott to be her wingman. There’s a wrench in the plan though when Claire begins to realize she doesn’t want to hook up with just anyone and Scott’s beginning to experience flavors of jealousy which are completely foreign to him. Will Scott and Claire be just what the other needs to move on or will they both play it safe and stick with what they’ve always known...

I LOVED this one. I loved Passion on Park Ave but I loved this one more. I loved that there wasn’t any crazy drama or plot twists driving them apart. It was rooted in two characters wanting something else but being afraid to put themselves out there for fear of hurt and rejection. Both of them really try and break down their walls but when it gets too complicated they revert back to what they know. This series is mostly fade to black for romance lovers that don’t like all the explicit details but the tension is masterfully built and I didn’t even miss it. I’m already DYING for the third book in the series which will be Audrey’s. Lauren Layne has another 5-star read on her hands. Love on Lexington Avenue was even better than the first book in the Central Park Pact series. I laughed, cried, and squealed at the chemistry between a bitter widow and a rough around the edges contractor!
