Twice in a Blue Moon is a first love/second chance romance filled with passion and scandal. It was a great read from beginning to end that lets us experience the characters as they grow up.
The story follows Tate and Sam as they travel abroad with their grandparents. They meet and have an instant connection and start to reveal their hopes and dreams for their future.
Tate has a secret that only her family knows about and feels comfortable enough to tell Sam. They love each other and she has faith ...more

I have yet to read a @christinalauren that didn’t deserve a full five stars. I picked up an ARC at the ALA Conference Exhibition and am voluntarily leaving an objective review.

This felt like a quieter, more serious book to me, even though there was a lot of tension and a fair bit of action. This story takes second chance romance to a new level, playing out the entire backstory on stage in part one, then jumping to the present day. A second chance love story that slowly unfolds with the tone of anticipation of an old Hollywood film.
I love my author duo behind Christina Lauren. I first fell in love with their steamy and often humor laden contemporay romance books. When I read their more serious in tone LOVE & OTHER WORDS, my brain perked up and took notice. They do not just deliver comedic relief but pack series writing chops as well. This most recent foray into literary/women's fiction is just as well delivered.

3.5 stars rounded up - thanks to the publisher for my gifted copy.
I liked this one, but I didn't love it. Overall I felt it could've had more depth & emotion - I wasn't particularly "sold" on this relationship and didn't find myself super invested in the characters. While it wasn't amazing, I thought it was good.
I love a good second-chance love story - I’m such a softie and am always rooting for reconciliation.

This book definitely gave me more Love and Other Words vibes. I enjoyed Tate and Sam’s beginning, I found it to be a tad unrealistic. Their story setting in London seemed so romantic even though they were young. It seemed like the perfect way to fall in love for the first time. I felt sorry for Tate growing up hiding her identity and then living in the public eye. I hated her father and disliked the second half of this book. The ending comes fast and I wish there was more after the last chapter.

I'm convinced that the amazing duo known as Christina Lauren can't write a bad book. I've fallen in love with the characters in every single book I've read of theirs, and I have a hard time distancing myself from the story once the book is over. This one was just as wonderful as the others! We meet Tate, an up and coming actress who is going to be working on a movie with her Oscar winning (and kind of sketchy) dad. ...more

Twice in a Blue Moon tells the story of Sam Brandis and Tate Jones through the eyes of their young adult-selves meeting and falling head over heels and the present versions of themselves, fourteen years later.

I read my first Christina Lauren book last year in October and I’ve been tearing through their backlist ever since - so you definitely have an idea how excited I was when I saw this title on Edelweiss earlier this year!!
This one was interesting in lots of ways, but it didn’t really feel like a CLo title to me. I liked Tate & Sam’s story well enough, but I wouldn’t say that I was really invested in it the way I have been in other titles (looking at you, Love & Other Words!). The steam level wasn’ ...more

This was certainly different than other CL reads. The story begins in the past, with Tate and her grandmother traveling to London for her graduation. Whilst in London, Tate meets Sam and secretly confides in him that she is the long-lost daughter of one of the world’s biggest film stars. Little does she know, Tate's trust is about to be broken and the consequences will be monumental. Time moves on and 14 years later, Tate and Same reconnect in the present day. Despite betrayal, time, and fame, b
