This is my second book from Renee Carlino. I read Swear on this Life last year and I loved it. I loved her unique storytelling.

Before we were strangers is a Craigslist Missed Connection story. Grace and Matt met their senior year of college and they started a friends to lover romance. They had a magical year that ended with Matt leaving to South America for an internship in National Geographic. Due to miscommunication their relationship ended abruptly.

Carlino is one of my favorite angsty, heart wrenching authors. I binged a bunch of her books in 2017-2018 and Before We Were Strangers was one of my favorites. This book messed me up but I absolutely loved it. It's a crazy emotional ride. five stars ...more
