I’m a complete Mariana Zapata fan. My first book from her was Kulti but then I realized that while her books are stand alones some characters have cameos in other books, so I back tracked. The main character, Dex, was a bit of a jerk at times but he took the time to apologize to the heroine, Iris. Iris has been through a lot in her life but she overcame and didn’t life change her sweet demeanor. However, she definitely had a backbone. She is strong, funny, and awkward at times.
