I LOVED this one. I had a really hard day today. And I really couldn't tell you why. I've struggled with depression/mood-disorder-not-otherwise-specified/insert-your-choice-DSM-5-diagnosis here, my entire life. On and off medication. I just couldn't get it together today. Thank god for Bentley or I probably wouldn't have gotten out of bed. Tasks like folding laundry or putting the dishes away were just insurmountable. I couldn't do any of it. I did nothing. I laid on the couch all day with my phone and a book. It's one of the reasons I love reading so much. Escaping my own reality and living in someone else's. I had been in a reading rut and romance usually does the trick, so I picked this one up. Thank god I did. It packed all the right amounts of smut, warmth and charm.

My mom always tells me life is comprised of moments. Life will always throw stuff at you but the trick is to find the moments of joy within the chaos. Thank you so much Helena Hunting for writing this one. Because of you, for a few hours, I dragged myself out of the darkness and into the light. This one came highly recommended to me and I immediately ordered a copy after hearing it had some good steam AND A HOCKEY PLAYER. And boy, did this one have the steam! 🔥🔥🔥

Lilah and Ethan’s story was absolutely charming. I thought Lilah was a strong character and I loved how she stood up for herself after a tough life. Their second chance romance is one of my new favorites! ⁣

I love a good romance, but I REALLY love a “Second Chance” romance! I adored Good Luck Charm - it was a super cute, feel-good story. This one was STEAMY - I thought the chemistry was fantastic. This was my first book by Helena Hunting, but it won’t be my last. If you’re a rom-com fan, add this one to your list. Quick, easy, fun read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Seriously, this book was the cutest! I absolutely loved the story, and the characters were so wonderful. I loved the hockey aspect of the book, and I loved that it was a second chance romance. It was so fun to see characters who had previously been in love try to work out what was happening between them. I want a series out of this! It was a fun light read while still having some real issues. It’s a story about second chances between the main characters, Lilah & Ethan.

Ethan returns home after he is traded back to his hometowns hockey team. And while they reconnect it is also highlights the fact that it is still important to be your own person. To be able to forgive in order to move forward.

Hunting is becoming one of my go-to “get out of a slump” authors. Her Shacking Up series made me an immediate fan of hers, seriously if you want a fun, sexy, hilarious read please grab every book from Shacking Up! After reading those my expectations were high going into The Good Luck Charm, and I ended up really enjoying it! I don’t know if I loved it as much as the books from Shacking Up, but it was a really cute quick read (and yes, it has steam 🔥). ⁣
