This is the second book I have read by Christina Lauren. And I really enjoyed it. It was definitely one of those slow burn romances, which is probably one of my favorites. Hazel and Josh have known each other since college and become reacquainted a number of years later. Josh has just went through a bad break up and they begin setting each other up on double dates. And then you can only assume what happens next.

I found Hazel and Josh to be interesting characters. Hazel was quirky and funny, wit

I’m guessing you’ve heard all the rave reviews before, so what else can I say that hasn’t been said before? I immediately fell in love with Hazel from the beginning of the book. She is quirky but fun. I’m convinced everyone needs a Hazel in their life. Her mother was always an embarrassment to her father but Hazel owns her quirks and knows she is enough. I absolutely love that about her. Josh is so kind. The way his and Hazels relationship evolves in heartwarming. I love how he defends Hazel and ...more

Update 9/30: did an audiobook re-read, still five stars! But I didn’t love the male narrator at all.

This book is just SO DAMN GOOD! If you haven’t read Josh and Hazel, you NEED to! Especially if you love romantic comedies. The whole time reading I kept thinking this would make such a damn cute movie. I loved all the characters, Hazel is so funny and charming. If she was a real person I would 100% want to be friends with her. I just loved everything about this book, it’s definitely going on my “

4.5 Stars. Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating was a perfect summer read! It was hilarious, touching and completely relatable with a good amount of sizzle. I want to be friends with a real-life Hazel and Josh is so much like my own husband (how lucky am I?). This is one I’ll read again for the humor, romantic tension and all the happy feels

I admit to being a bit wary going in, wondering how this would stack up against my last, beloved Christina Lauren read, Love & Other Words. While completely

I received a copy of this book for free in exchange of an honest review. The opinions are my own.

I have read most of Christina Lauren’s book. They bring in the right kind of sizzling romance. I love their Beautiful Bastard series. I binged read those book in 2017.

When I read the synopsis of this book I was intrigue. This a unique friends to lover romance.

Hazel is a big, eccentric character. She met Josh back in college and she has had a crush on him. However after a series of encounters like t

This book is about friends to lovers and man, oh man this book was so lovely. If I had to use one word to describe this book, I would use sweet. Everything about the ending was just a big “AWWW.” I feel like Hazel made me realize more and more on every page to not take life too seriously and Josh was just always there for her and it made me love him more because she loved him. I kept thinking “omg are they ever going to get together?!” But then the drunken night happened and I was was screaming ...more

5/5

I fell hard for sweet Josh and quirky Hazel in this friends to lovers romance. Their connection and chemistry leaped off the page from their first interactions. Hazel is such a free spirit with absolutely no filter and Josh is sweet albeit a little uptight. Naturally, I loved watching them navigate the waters of friendship and having that evolve into something more. This was my first Christina Lauren book and I absolutely loved it! Highly recommend the audiobook for this one as well.
