Make Me Bad is a slow-burn, forbidden romance, with humor and heart. I already knew Grey could write enjoyable rom-coms and really satisfying epilogues, but there was something about this one that was fantastic.

First off, sign me UP for any romances about librarians! Madison was such a relatable bookish nerd. Even though I was initially on the fence with having her virginity seemingly in the forefront, I 📚 Thank you R.S. Grey for providing a complimentary eARC in exchange for an honest review 📚

Make Me Bad is a slow-burn, forbidden romance, with humor and heart. I already knew Grey could write enjoyable rom-coms and really satisfying epilogues, but there was something about this one that was fantastic.

First off, sign me UP for any romances about librarians! Madison was such a relatable bookish nerd. Even though I was initially on the fence with having her virginity seemingly in the forefront, I grew to really like Madison. Considering how over protective her dad and brother were for her being a 25 year old adult, she felt fairly unapologetic for finally making changes in her life and going after what she wanted. I was very afraid she was going to fall into a typical virgin trope. Don’t get me wrong, there were some tiny moments that did, but not enough to detract from how delightful this story was.

And then there’s Ben. Oh, Ben. I briefly read the synopsis, and I think I was under the impression Ben was going to be this total bad boy. No, he’s a successful lawyer with an adult house, and a little bit of history for getting in trouble as a teen. Not the hardened bad boy I was expecting.

She knows of him growing up, due to their families not getting along and her police chief father hating him, but the way that they actually meet in the beginning is SO ridiculous! Way to start the story out with a bang! But heck if the part when she worries more about her first edition Austen than her own life, isn’t a damn mood. I felt like this story had so many great little nods to classic fairy tales, including how they met.

I loved that they started as acquaintances, then friends, then slowly more. It felt very realistic, and even though there was a bit of instant-love the way they interacted felt very genuine. Make Me Bad was so fun to read!! This was a 4 star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me, and might be my favorite R.S. Grey so far!

UGH R.S. Grey does it again. I want to yell and scream because I need all of her books to be made into movies, like nooowww. Madison was everything! Sweet, innocent at first but then she had her fire burning by the end of it. Ben was so protective over her & I loved it! I really liked how this book had a lot of other characters that intertwined with the story. I loved all the little parties, the librarian aspect, the frisbee, the oceannnnn, the tattoo. I was so fortunate to receive R.S. Grey’s newest release as an ARC. I’ve been sitting on this review for a week and I’m so happy to announce it is finally out!

It’s Madison’s birthday, and her only birthday wish is for her life to have some excitement. Perhaps she shouldn’t have been so vague, because her life gets a whole lot more exciting after an introduction with the town’s wealthy, “bad boy,” Ben. spoiler free: Make Me Bad had me hooked from the very first chapter, or more accurately, the very first sentence. R.S. Grey is one of my auto-buy authors. I know when I’m reading one of her books I’m getting a witty, laugh-out-loud, steamy book with great emotional depth. R.S. Grey is rom-com at its absolute best, and Make Me Bad was no exception. In fact, this is my favorite R.S. Grey book to date. Ben is so swoon-worthy. Madison’s character growth was amazing! I was her biggest cheerleader. I saw so much of myself in her. Add in a slow-burn romance and a little bit of danger – I’m sold.

Overall, this is definitely a 5/5 read from me. But, don’t take my word for it. Go and read it yourself!

Overall, I can’t recommend Make Me Bad enough. A full 5/5 rom-com. If you’re looking for more R.S. Grey recs, start with Hotshot Doc, Arrogant Devil or The Foxe and the Hound – three of my favorites.
