Love, love, LOVE the Maisie Dobbs books.
I can't believe I have read 7 books in this mystery series but I have! I have not been enthralled by mysteries since I read Agathe Chritie as a teen but I love the combination of the mystery, the history (post WWI in England) and the compelling characters. This well written series has been a New York Times bestseller list choice over and over and I understand why. I managed to find all the books used on Amazon as most are out of print.

The last few books have actually ended on a hopeful note - I really liked seeing how the characters have grown and changed. And it's nice to see them finally healing from the war. Of course, WWII looms in the future. I'm sad I have only one more book before I'm caught up with the series. I hope the author writes more.

I just love this series. It draws me in so quickly. I really enjoy my time with Maisie.
Still in love with this series, even with some majorly sad bits at the end.
