Powerful, inspiring and global! It is definitely one of the most important books I've ever read. The dynamic Pulitzer prize-winning couple, Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, have tackled the many issues of gender inequality head-on, providing statistics and personal stories through exquisitely readable investigative journalism. Superb book for sensitizing folks to the world-wide conditions in which women live, and the possibilities for changing them.
I felt conflicted by the language at times, but overall I think it's a very important book.
