What can I say about this book other than it is imperative that everyone read it?
I saw the documentary that was made after this book was written, and it prompted me to read the book. It covers women's issues around the globe, such as sexual violence/abuse, sex trafficking/slavery, female genital cutting, poverty, women's health, maternal mortality, etc. etc.
What I loved about it was that the journalists who wrote it included the stories of women they've met around the world. It wasn't just a boo ...more

I felt conflicted by the language at times, but overall I think it's a very important book.
