I can't believe I haven't read this until turning 30, but oh well, better late than never!
But what a great story that is still (unfortunately) relevant 60 years later. I doubt I can say much on this book that hasn't already been written about in a million school papers and books, but I'll mention a few things that I really enjoyed:
- POV from a child: I think this helps enforce the themes of racism, sexism, and classism as a learned (or "caught" as the book tells us) behavior, as Scout can quest ...more
