This sounded like a really interesting concept for a book. Also, I have enjoyed at least one other book by this author. Finally, the book had enough interest in it that they turned it into a TV show. These were all good signs that this would be a great read.
But, was it???
It was okay . . . it had some great parts and did play around in some fascinating ways about what the world would be like if Germany and Japan had won World War II. But I don’t think it took the concept far enough or explored it ...more

I suppose it shouldn't surprise me, but it was hard for me to believe how little I remembered from this book, even though I read it two or three decades ago. One of the things I did remember about it was that I didn't feel as though I understood what Dick was trying to get at, especially in the last few pages. No spoilers, because, frankly, I'm still not sure what he was trying to say, but in this instance, it doesn't seem to be as important. Whether what I take away from this what Dick intended
