What Members Thought
Dune was and probably still is the best and most influential book ever written. This book had a serious effect on the way I thought as a teenager and still influences me to this day.
The storytelling, philosophical exploration, cut-throat politics, drugs, money, and social commentary cut in all the right ways.
This book is right up there with Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.

Where. To. Begin. I won't say again what everyone has already said : this book is a legend. It laid the foundations of modern sci-fi, of its themes, its construction etc. This has been said.
