This was a tough read, made even more difficult possibly by it being an audiobook. I liked the adventure and Jim's story but I found many parts really hard to stomach. I don't know the original story well so I didn't have a love or affection for Huck like I might have. This was an interesting book for me to review. This book overall has gotten such high praise, and while I think it is warranted in a number of ways, I simply did not connect deeply with the book overall. I liked it, I just wasn't as moved as others.
