A retelling of the Huckleberry Finn story from Jim's point of view which begins when James runs away after hearing he is to be sold to a man in New Orleans, away from his wife and daughter. Huck joins him after faking his death to escape the tyranny of his father.

4.5/5 stars. Jim is full of depth and character. The plot is interesting with some good surprises. This alternate version is definitely worth your time to listen to or read. ...more

This retelling of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from James’s POV (he wants to be called this, not Jim), is IMO better than the original. The adventure for James is essentially a tense horror story. Will not state what happens but some odd my favorite parts came near the final pages when James is able to have a sense of power over his choices.
