What Members Thought

The Spellshop is a cozy fantasy that is really just like a warm hug, or sitting in the sun reading in your favourite chair. It's just lovely. I'm not a huge fantasy reader usually because I often find the worldbuilding quite intense but this was just beautiful and exactly what I needed. With a sentient spider plant, a sentient cactus and forest spirits plus beautifully drawn characters, I highly recommend!

3.5ish. This was cozy and lovely with likeable characters (especially the talking spider plant!) but a little slow and too low-stakes for me right now. The premise sounded great and I thought that's what I wanted after a long streak of nonfiction and dramatic dragon worlds, but I needed a little more plot and less gardening/jam making.
