Rough to start but I stayed for the amazing story and I loved it!
Nisha is a bit hard to like at first. The beginning was tough - but I loved how it all started over a mix up of a gym bag - and Sam wearing a new pair of shoes. The story of women finding their voice, their meaning and their power again. I loved Nisha's rage and Sam's passion. I’m giving this 3.5 stars rounded up.
In my opinion it took forever to really get interesting. I think it started too fast and didn’t really give you enough time or insight into the characters to really care about either of them. Around the 200 page mark that changed though and I loved the second half. Had the second half followed the first, I think this would have been a solid ⭐️⭐️

It was tough reading along while everyone went through hard times. But I really liked the Girl Power theme. And Jasmine was amazing.

I've always found this author a bit hit-or-miss, I've read a couple that I really enjoyed & several that have been so-so. This is a bit of an also-ran for me: I never felt engaged by it & nor could I connect with the characters. It was all a bit ludicrous & repetitive, & would have been better with a third of it culled.
