Rough to start but I stayed for the amazing story and I loved it!
Nisha is a bit hard to like at first. The beginning was tough - but I loved how it all started over a mix up of a gym bag - and Sam wearing a new pair of shoes. The story of women finding their voice, their meaning and their power again. I loved Nisha's rage and Sam's passion. I absolutely loved the supporting characters and each girl begins to bring smart, strong, amazing women back into their lives. This is a book about messy liv ...more

I've always found this author a bit hit-or-miss, I've read a couple that I really enjoyed & several that have been so-so. JoJo Moyes has done it again! Someone Else's Shoes was a fun, enjoyable read. Centered around 2 women whose lives could not be more different, although they do have a few things in common, one of which is using the same gym.
When Sam mistakenly grabs Nicia's gym bag she she unwittingly starts a chain reaction that ends up changing both their lives.
Someone Else's Shoes is a feel-good story about the community and solidarity of women, and I highly recommend it. ...more

Get ready for a walk in someone else's shoes. Jojo Moyes takes readers on a high-speed chase to track down a missing pair of expensive pumps. While it sounds frivolous, the character development showcases Moyes trademark style and readers will root for the women to succeed.

Between 3 and 4 stars. Parts were fun and heartwarming or gloriously catty and vengeful, but so much of it was depressing as fuck.
