Shelves: thriller-mystery-crime

I have to admit that I enjoyed this book more than I expected! I am not a Big mystery/thriller reader, BUT something drew me in to this book. I had never read anything by Riley Sager, but I believe this will not be my last!

I loved this book! It read to me as a classic
Gothic tale, and I was here for it from start to finish. Some other reviews have mentioned it being silly and over the top, and in some instances it is. However, that is one element of Gothic Lit. I'm sure In it's day "Dracula" seemed over the top. Not that I am comparing this book to Dracula by any means. It is just a fun murder mystery. It also has one of the best endings I have ever read. This was very good, it was a good different read from what I usually do. I liked the plot, the ending and the fact that even though it was a tragedy type of story it was a happy story where everyone got what they deserved.
