I mostly loved this! Loved the heroine and the side characters. I didn't know where it was going; that was part of the fun. Liked how it was funny at times, emotional in others, and also surprisingly dark. I thought it became a bit weaker at the end; otherwise, I would have given this a 5. ...more

Can’t say enough positive about this book! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it! Poignant, humerous, insightful, meaningful about the treatment of women in chemistry in the 70s! Women- please listen to this book!

Loved, loved this book. Couldn't put it down.

Loved the historical aspect of being a woman in the 1950's. OMG woman of today a lot to be thankful for. We owe women of the 50'3 and 60's a lot.

I started my career in a chemistry lab in the 70's. There was still discrimination, but my boss was a WOMEN chemist, a role model as a young women.

Loved this book! Elizabeth Zott, Mad Zott, Calvin Evans, Harriet. I loved all of the characters so much. The villains were so hatable and infuriating.

This was such an entertaining read! A friend raved about how much she enjoyed this and I must agree with her. Our tastes don't always match when it comes to reading, but in this we agree. This was an entertaining read that I just whizzed through. Although I didn't laugh out loud like the critics suggested I would, I was definitely entertained by these characters and their story.

This is more like a 4.5 stars, but one that I would definitely recommend and may choose this as my Book Club suggestion ...more

I have to admit that in the middle of this book I called my mom and said would I really like this book. It is not the kind of book I usually like and I don't know if I should just stop reading it. My mom told me to just keep reading it and I would enjoy it. I really was not sure but mom's know best and I am really happy that I finish this book. It was really amazing. I loved this book.
