I simply adored this book. After a slightly slow start, I discovered a remarkable book about love, life, and what makes us human.

Addie LaRue is an incredible lead character. Her adversary, Luc, is a dark sexy "bad' guy (aka Lucifer, possibly). And Henry, an adorable hero.

Addie and Henry have their lives changed after they make some questionable choices. How this situation is resolved is a tribute to all the Addie has learned over the last 300 years.

The premise is like nothing I've ever read before and Schwab's writing is beyond beautiful. The images this author inspires in her writing are noteworthy. I'm happy to have been introduced to this during this time of global isolation and monotony because I was initially at least captivated by this in a way few other things captivate me these days.

It reminded me of the Adeline movie, not sure if they are related. But I really enjoyed the reading of it. and was great to see the relationship between Addie and the God

The book that has everything

This story has so much depth. It makes you think. It plays on the the best and worst of human nature. It has romance, history, drama, and lots of grieving/loss. It took a bit for the story to pick up the pace but it’s well worth the time.
