This book was for my read I g challenge. The book takes place in the Alaskan wilderness. A childless couple making a new start. On the night of the first snow they make a snow child, a beautiful little girl, they even give her a scarf and mittens. And then she seems to come to life, or does she. Very well written story. You get a feel for how hard life can be in this desolate area. I felt the author started to run out of steam toward the end, and for that four stars, I still highly recommend thi

Fabulous book!
I loved this book! A sweet story about a childless couple trying to make it that find the snow girl. The book keeps you wondering about her story. A sweet, sad ending too.
Set on a homestead in 1920s Alaska, a childless couple find a mysterious little girl living in the woods and care for her as their own. Great characters, wonderful story.
