Browyn , Addy, Nate, Cooper Simon are all assigned detention. Browyn is the intelligent , motivated kid who is so angry that she was wrongly punished. Addy is the beauty the homecoming queen. What an amazing debut novel! Perfect for the YA crowd, but this adult loved every bit of it. Well-developed, multi-faceted characters, unexpected plot twists like you wouldn't believe, and a rocket-like pace. I must admit I figured out "whodunnit" slightly before it was revealed. Will you?

I definitely agree with a review of this book I read that calls it: "Breakfast Club on steroids". It was a terrificly addictive audiobook, however, and although I was a bit put off by the stereotyping of teens at the beginning, I was impressed with the realism and depth the book ultimately went to. A good read!!

3.5 stars. Five students in detention, one of them dies, but who did it? A fun read if you don't take it too seriously.
