I liked this book more than I thought I would. I guess I don't get why all these type of classics feature girls from poor backgrounds somehow crossing paths with wealthy gentlemen. Then with very little interaction throughout the story (definitely never a date!), POOF! they are in love and to be married at the end of the book.

It's never a poor boy and a rich girl. Or two poor people. Or two rich people.

I did like how this book had a bit of a mystery wrapped into it. That kept it very interesti
