"If we believe in monsters, in the supernatural, how do we believe in anything?"
Stephen King never lets me down. The story was completely captivating! Once you start it, the mystery just digs in and it's hard to stop. I wanted to know more, understand what was going on. I wanted answers and could barely get through the pages fast enough.

I have been going back and listening to a lot of older Stephen King books which has been interesting as I am finding out I don't enjoy them as much as I did as a teen. So any of his newer releases I haven't read so this is the first of his new releases and it has reminded me of why I use to love reading him in the first place. :)

So many things to say about this one! The dialog is as real as it gets; rich and buttery where a 4 star story might use some margarine. The characters are awesome, and the plotting... so good. It's comfy like a story you may have heard, but so not like this. And had I heard a bump in the night, I don't think I could have set this one down. I’m not a Stephen King person. I don’t do scary. If I do read scary, I have to sleep with my lights on. Nevertheless, I had to read this for a book club and I became obsessed with it. My poor husband had to hear all kinds of ramblings about this book. And the book is the size of a doorstop, so he heard LOTS of ramblings.
Stephen King does it again. Oh, and Holly Gibney showed up halfway through so that was the happiest surprise!
