“ I thought: I cannot bear this world a moment longer. Then, child, make another”- Circe.
I had Circe on my self FOR AGES! And was eastatic to escape into this well-written world lost in time. Hearing about Circe’s life… trudged up some good and ugly experiences you shove down to the metaphorical “depths of the sea” 😜. It allows for escapism to take over and say “this,child, is not the end of the world”.
What I enjoyed: Madeline’s masterful storytelling weaves a reality you don’t want to leave. ...more

The author made the story of Circe so approachable and relatable, I really enjoyed it. If you have any interest in Greek Mythology than I would recommend this book.
I listened to this on audio and it was terrific.
