Prequel to Practical Magic. I loved learning about Franny, Jet, and Vincent who were the ancestors of Sally and Gillian. Now I need to read Practical Magic because I must admit I have only watched the movie. For shame!
How dare she! There is one thing I hate to do: Cry! But AH made me tear up with this book.
And seriously! You'd think after 300+ years, someone would be witty enough to know how to break the Owens curse. Come on!
I enjoyed reading the backstory of Franny & Jet whom we are introduced to in Practical Magic (for me, the movie, I'm going to read the book when it arrives).

I'm re-reading the Practical Magic series to get myself prepared for the newest book. After reading The Rules of Magic again, I can definitely say this is probably my favorite book from the series (although that might change once I read The Book of Magic). I loved watching Jet, Franny, and Vincent grow up and everything they had to go through to find their love.
