This book takes place in a small Midwest town called Pine Valley. Everything I know about the Midwest I learned from Fargo (the movie AND the TV series!), so this book helped expand my knowledge (though expand doesn't quite cover it: I still imagine it as very boring, very desolate, which leads people to kill each other). The book did a great job at pacing. Normally alternate POV chapters drive me nuts but this one held it together and moved the story forward (each had their unique voice too, wh ...more

Very Good Read that help my attention for the 3 days it took me to read it! It reminded me of that Glenn Close movie Fatal Attraction but in the teen scene - what an interesting main character Hattie is. No spoilers, but it is a page turner right to the end!
