Re-reading this because the show bored the shit out of me. How long can they drag a plot? How many flashbacks? How few characters can they develop? None? Seems like it! The cinematography is beautiful; I’ll give you that. But it doesn’t even touch Atwood’s book, and it’s a shame. So I’m reading the real deal to cleanse my palate.

Also, I understand that it’s compelling in that we are living a version of Gilead in real life, but the show is so disappointing.
