I might not be too popular for this review but I honestly was not that impressed by this book. The world was very interesting, the characters were intriguing, but I just did not think the writing was all that great. It felt like it tried too hard, creating suspense and teasing at something that had happened in a backstory, and the way the story evolved in the rescue attempt, it all just felt forced.
