What Members Thought
I am VERY intrigued to see where this storyline goes! It starts out with a rather dystopian plot line, kids reach a certain age and are selected for a role in the community, very "Divergent-esque" so far. Then Jonas, the main character, is chosen to be the Reciever of Memory. How interesting, he will be the only person with access to the collective unconscious of mankind, but he is forbidden from sharing them with anyone. So no one remembers anything from past? Incredible. This was just such a great book. It is a book about courage, bravery change. I think everyone should read this book, it is only 220 pages and it is a really quick read, so I suggest just picking it up and reading it yourself. I am a little worried about the rest if the series because I am afraid it will not live up to this one... We will see. (waiting on the library lol)
