What Members Thought
I think I expected too much out of this book and was disappointed . The story line started well and then I think it went rambling. But the writing style was good and was able to read it. I think i expected it to be pulsating like The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns.

I think this author is a great writer. However, I just couldn't get into the book the way I wanted to.
At the beginning I really liked it. I thought, wow, I'm going to love this book. I loved the story about the Div and then when the story went on about the dad going to find his son and the decision he had to make whether to take his son back or leave him there.

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. Slow to start but once I got into the read, I couldn't put it down. The author of the acclaimed Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns creates another epic story!
