Sophie Huffman
Over and under the pond is about a mother and child rowing through a pond and the plants and animals that they see as the story progresses. I think that this is a great book for early science learners. It would be a great book to learn about habitats and to incorporate observation skills. It has colorful and interesting illustrations that would engage young readers.
