Written to the tune of nursery rhyme “This Old Man,” this super funky picture book showcases infamous jazz musicians of color. The author uses rhythm, rhyme, and repetition to individually introduce the ten men in the band. The illustrator expressively uses movement, color, and various text sizes to spell out the sounds of the ten instruments. The last couple of pages include a brief biography of each musician.
