The more I think about this book, and why I first enjoyed it, the more I wonder about this world that was created. In the first book Poison Study we meet, Yelena, a woman who wants to be free, discover her magical abilities and find her family before she can return to her love and friends in the northern country of Ixia. This book lacks the discovery of new love, but has instead the discovery of new talents and abilities as well as friends.

I could not put this book down. I read this book in less than two days, which is good for a married working mother. Couldn't wait to start the next one. Encore, Encore Ms. Snyder!
