while i didn't like it as much as i liked her study series.. Snyder's storm glass kept me hooked to the last page... the storyline had many holes and repetition from the study series.. i still enjoyed quite so much... i'm not sure i'd enjoy it as much if i read it without reading the study series before.. still gave it 4 stars, while i'm in no hurry to finish this series i'm interested in reading other works by Snyder.

I really enjoyed this book. The Study series was so fun to read and I can tell that this spin off series is going to be just as good or even better. I love the world that Maria V Snyder has created. There are some really great new characters in this book and it was exciting when a character from the Study books entered the story. I can't wait to read the next book. The ending of this one left you with some unanswered questions andI think that it will lead Opal into some exciting new adventure. I

I was so happy to find out Maria had another trilogy about Ixia/Sitia!
After the Study trilogy I wanted to read more about the world and people Maria Snyder had created!
I wanted to stay involved in the lives of the amazing people she created. Yelena, Valek, Ari, Janco, Opal, I love them all!
It takes a lot of talent to make characters so relate-able.
The Glass trilogy is an amazing sequal to the Study trilogy. And I really hope Maria isn't done writhing about the Ixia/Sitia world! ...more

May 2020 reread- 3.5 stars. Not as great as I remembered and not as adventurous as the Study series
