I really enjoyed the story but when Ms. Snyder comes to our library this fall I am going to have to ask her about her endings! So I thought this book was good. I liked Opal a lot and love the new characters introduced and was happy there were a lot of our old favourite characters from the study series in this book too, although I missed Valek terribly (sniffles) however I didnt love this book as much as the study series I was disappointed that Maria created a story about warpers again seems they were covered and dealt with in the study series I was expecting something new you know? I remember seeing Magic Study at my local grocery store in the book section, usually limited to cheesy westerns and romances, and the NYT bestsellers. As a college kid, scrounging for cash to spend on important items like drinks and food for that weekend, art supplies for class,and the ever present need for beading materials, the cost of getting a book on impulse seemed wasteful.But I convinced myself that the cover was pretty, it was about magic, and my friend wanted to read it after I was done

I loved Opal's character. She was very intriguing, human and likable. I loved the different characters in the book. I couldn't put the book down I carried it around with me everywhere in case I had a spare minute to read.
