I knew it was going to be good, I just didn't know it would be soooo good! It has everything I loved about Poison Study, action, adventure, fantasy, a bit of romance and great characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series! ...more

Of course I absolutely loved The Study Series. As a glassmaker, Opal helped Yelena, the Soulfinder, imprison the bad Master Magician and the Warpers into the glass.

In Storm Glass, Opal has been studying at the Citadel. She is an outcast named the one-trick wonder. Opal's magic is captured in the glass animals that she creates. The magicians are able to channel the magic to communicate with magicians over vast distances.

I really like this author because of the Study series, so I decided to try her new series out. I very much enjoyed it, it was entertaining and absorbing but it lacked a little of the je ne sais quoi of the other series. This was such a wonderful book! I really related to Opal and the love interests were fun. :) The plot was original and kept me reading through the night. I was pleasantly surprised by who the villains turned out to be and the few scenes with our old pals from the Study Series. The places Opal go to are incredible and I now have a new favorite clan. :) Fantastic book! Also- I now want to learn how to make glass!

This didn't really feel like it had an ending. I guess because it's a series the author didn't really 'end' it, it just kind of drifted to to close.

Good story though, on to the next.
