I like the book so far but I do not like the writing as much.
It confuses my how she is referred to as Miss Tarabotti and Alexia, but, I like the story and the characters so I am getting used to it.
Also, Lord Maccon.... yes. just. yes.
(Don't be fooled by -spinster- as far as I can tell she is only like 25 at most).
Also, on a bad note, I don;t really love the cover. I don't like it as much when I see a face only because I like imagining the character, therefore I find it would be better if like ...more

OMGGGGG THIS BOOK WAS SOOOOOOO GOOOD!!! Dayammmmm like people tell me I don't have a soul so I could totally relate to Alexia!! It was like me and her were the same person!!

Quirky and Cool, Parasol protectorate is like Pride and Prejudice with added wolves, vampires, and paranormal....yeah you get the point. It's a fun adventure that got a few smirks out of me (which is difficult)! You never know what situation she'll end up in. I love how she has a love interest but it doesn't change her (she still fights her own battles). It'll have you wondering whether you should carry around an umbrella lol!
