OMG. Just OMG. One of the best books I've ever read. Thats two in a row for me (the other was Warrior&Witch by Marie Brennan).
Alexia is one of the coolest women ever to be written into existence. She's so smart and sassy. I wanna give this one 3.5 stars. Soulless is very different from what I usually read. I am not used to the Victorian period. I found it refreshing, funny and smart. I liked the concept of a preternatural, I found it very unique. The character interaction between Alexia and Lord Maccon was fantastic. I thought it was finally time to finish this book, and I'm glad I finally did. :D Carriger manages to successfully combine alternate history, paranormal romance and steampunk. I look forward to the rest of this series.
