What Members Thought

The short story format, all the while connected to the grand scheme of things, works well for this book, Norse Mythology. The fact that I've always had a fondness for the topic made reading the different tales more fun. But there are some repetitions that Neil Gaiman could have done without and that's what prevents me giving this a 5 on 5.

Norse has put me back to my childhood when I was fed Kerala folk(Aithihyamala, Kadha parayunnna Nikhandu, Kadhasarith sagaram), fairy tales, Russian folk, Greek mythology, Hindu mythology. I grew up on those. Reading it now turned me into my 12 year old self. Life is rather simple. Silly Gods , their more silly egos and all their human like problems for which they find jugaad fixes.

Became instant fan of the easy writing style of Gaiman. This books is a collection of Norse Mythological stories, and if you are a fan of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, you will be familiar with quite a few characters here.
