At the time, I thought VC Andrew's book were high drama and literature. I almost hesitated to add them, but in truth I did enjoy them in my younger years.

I read this book for the first time back when I was in High School and did not finish it. I got about three quarters of the way through and ended up hurling it across the room because I was so upset with it.
I came back to the book as an adult a few years ago and re-read it. I enjoyed it this time around.

It had never come across me to start reading V.C. Andrews' books. However when adding books to my to-do list, I decided to try some. I have of course seen this movie a million times over and wasn't sure how closely it was related to the book. I now know that the book was considerably more detailed than the movie.
