I think I'd forgotten everything about this one since I read it the first time, because it felt like I was reading it for the first time, wow. So much happened in this I can barely keep it straight in my head (view spoiler)

I understand why some people are a little disappointed with the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel from Charlaine Harris: it's a change of pace for Sookie and the first two-thirds of the book are full of information rather than action-packed. But give the girl a break - how many wars between supernatural factions has she been at the centre of now? So one book without vampires, weres or fairies trying to kill her is only fair. Wait... They still are trying to kill her?

This book was definitely weird. I did enjoy it like the other ones. Harris has a definite formula down. There's always a dead body and she has a tendency to introduce new characters and then one of them dies. The ending was particularly weird when Sookie snuggled with her cousin Claude and Uncle Dermot. She acted out of character for her.

Another enjoyable book about Sookie Stackhouse. I was told that most people did not seem to enjoy this book. I don't understand that since I enjoyed it very much. Granted there was not as much activity as usual. But lots of storytelling being done.

Like many others, I eagerly anticipated this book because I am in love with Sookie and Bon Temps, and for me, reading this series at this point, is like visiting old friends whom I love but don't see often. So in that aspect, the book was fine for me.
