As the tenth book in the series this was still a pretty good read, it didn't have the constant all out action of the previous ones but that did make for a pleasant change and allowed the characters to be developed a little more than they have been. This time Sookie manages to get embroiled on four fronts, first between Eric and his maker, secondly in a dispute within Alcide's pack, thirdly in the politics of the Weres and Shapeshifters 'coming out' and finally in the aftermath of the Fae War fro

A good story that is both entertaining and delightful! This is the very first vampire story that I have read and, I only read it because it was a 2010 Goodreads Choice Award winner. But, it is more than a vampire story. Sure Vamps are a big part of the story, but so are Fairies and Weres. Sookie, the protagonist, is telepathic.

This was by far my least favorite in the series so far. It seemed shorter and not as entertaining as past ones. I will keep reading the series and hope that the next one is better.
Not nearly as action packed as the previous volumes but still good. Jason shines a bit more and Claude actually is, dare I say it, nice!
