I am listening to these books as my ten year old son reads the paperbacks. I enjoyed seeing these characters return and solve additional puzzles and clues. The framing of this as a treasure hunt gone wrong was very clever--it accounted for why there were clues left in puzzling ways, but allowed for the suspense of a mystery/hunt rather than just a game.

I wasn't thrilled with the development of essentially psychic abilities by one of the characters. The book explains it as highly developed patter

I liked the first book better...but would stil be interested in the 3rd. The characters are very unique.. well-crafted to work well together during the adventures.
