Probably 3.5 stars. The author was involved in an expedition to hunt for a lost city deep in the jungle, his job being to write about it, and that part of the book I found really interesting. He describes how they reached the location(s), the hazards, the discomforts and difficulties of simply surviving in the jungle environment well. The basis of this true tale is finding a potential architectural site based on advanced technology. Gathering a scientifically solid team. Exploring the site.

However, Preston also delves into the history
