Well that was a lovely welcome back to the series. It's been a few years, between book 5 and 6 for me...Why did I wait so long?
I liked Cormia a lot. I can't wait for more John. And dude shit's getting real now in this world. ...more

What a disappointment. It seems as if Ward didn't know what to do with the book so she decided to give all the Brothers temporary lobotomies so they behaved like strangers instead of the men we’ve met in previous books.

I really enjoyed this book and had a very hard time putting it down.
The main part of the story is about Phury and his duty as Primale, as well as his relationship with the Chosen Cormia. However there is so much more going on in this Novel. J.R. Ward weaves back and forth through the subplots at just the right times to keep you hanging. We finally find out more about Rehvenge and his blackmailer. There's a huge development in the lessening society as well as with John Matthew and his friends. So ...more
